It was on this day last year that I first published a post on the owl on the bookshelf, having spent a good hour agonising over what WordPress theme to use and whether I should blog or not as I was nervous about writing and putting my thoughts out into the public domain. One year on I have written over 100 posts including 83 book reviews and am today celebrating my blog’s 1st birthday!
In honour of this milestone I thought I would look back at some of my favourite posts, and say a few thank yous!
First Book Review Written – All Involved by Ryan Gattis
Most Recent Book Review Written – Fates And Furies by Lauren Groff
First ARC Book Review – Landfalls by Naomi Williams
Most Viewed Post – Fingers In The Sparkle Jar by Chris Packham
Five of my Favourites – The books I cant stop talking about!
A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
The Shadow Hour by Kate Riordan
The Trouble With Goats And Sheep by Joanna Cannon
The Wolf Road by Beth Lewis
To The Bright Edge Of The World by Eowyn Ivey
A few thank yous…
To all the fellow book bloggers and readers who have read and shared my posts during the past year, I really appreciate it.
To the wonderful Book Connectors group for supporting this blog and providing plenty of inspiration to add to my toppling TBR!
To all the publishers and authors who have kindly provided proofs and review copies of their books. I have felt privileged to have the opportunity to read some wonderful books this year and am grateful for all the books that I have received for review.
So that is my first year as a book blogger complete. I look forward to sharing more book reviews and other exciting posts with you all in the future – thanks for reading!
