Wildest Dreams Book Box Unboxing – December 2017

If you follow my blog or social media, you will probably know that I love bookish subscription boxes! So when I heard that a new YA subscription box in the UK was coming soon, I was keen to get my hands on one! And so I managed to order the first Wildest Dreams Book Box, a new box started by Zoe Collins who is a booktuber and blogger at nosaferpace.co.uk. The theme for this first box was ‘Best of YA 2017’ and given Zoe’s passion and enthusiasm for these books I was excited to see what she chose for her first box. Here is what was inside this month…

wd2Each month the box will contain a newly released YA book, along with a bath and body product and a bookish tea and other surprises. This month’s bath product was a ‘Sorting Bathbomb’ by Geeky Clean. I have received items from Geeky Clean before and really enjoyed them so it is great to see them featured in this box. And of course there is a Harry Potter theme to this item which is always a winner with me! I was excited to see that the bath bomb changes colour to reveal your Hogwarts house so will be interested to find out where I am placed. The bookish tea for this month was an ‘After The Fire’ tea from Rosie Lea Tea. This is a chocolate orange tea which I am really looking forward to trying. There were also tea bags included which was handy especially if you are not a regular drinker of loose leaf tea.

wd3And now onto the book of the month for December! The chosen book was The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed. This was a book and author not familiar to me, but the plot sounds really interesting so am excited to add it to my TBR. There was also a note included from the author about the book and the message she hopes to portray which has made me even more excited about reading it. And there was another surprise inclusion from an author in the form of a postcard and signed bookmark from Michelle Kenney for her novel Book Of Fire. I haven’t received a signed bookmark before so this was a lovely little bonus! And there was also a chocolate in the box, which was eaten before I could take the photos for this unboxing…

When I first heard about Wildest Dreams Book Box there were two things that I really liked about it. Firstly, the inclusion of a book with a bath product and a tea really appealed to me as it sounds like a perfect cosy night in. And secondly, I thought the pricing was really good. I love subscription boxes but admit that they can be a little expensive. This particular box costs £18 within the UK inclusive of postage, so it offers a more affordable option for readers looking for a monthly bookish treat. And as for the box itself I think this is a great first box and I like the effort that has gone into putting it together. I will be keeping an eye out for future boxes and to see how this box grows!
