Today it is time for another Fairy Loot unboxing! Fairy Loot is a monthly subscription box focusing on Young Adult fantasy titles. You can get a single box from £26 per month (plus VAT and shipping) or you can choose to subscribe for 3 or 6 months.
I am currently subscribed to Fairy Loot and have been receiving this box for over a year and it is a box I always look forward to each month. Each box has a theme and the theme for May was ‘Save The Kingdom’ which I was excited about! Here is what was inside this month…
One of the first items I saw was presented in a beautiful little box. This was a Norgard bath bomb created by Little Heart Gifts. This is inspired by this month’s book and is berry scented. I don’t often use bath bombs but I love the look of this one with its castle design. An item I was excited about receiving this month was a book sleeve and this one was designed by Reverie and Ink. This features a quote from An Ember In The Ashes and I loved the gold lettering. I also really liked the colour scheme and the stitched Fairy Loot logo. I use book sleeves every day so will definitely get a lot of use out of this item.
Next up was a pack of Save The Kingdom tea from The Tea Leaf Co. I love a cup of tea and this is an English breakfast tea which is a favourite! And to go with the tea there was a coaster. This was designed by Evie Bookish and it features a quote from The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkowski. The quote fits in nicely with the theme, and I really liked the design and colours used. It will also go nicely with a coaster I have from a previous Fairy Loot which has a similar colour scheme.
An item which I hadn’t received before in a box was a pot of lip scrub by Geeky Clean. This was inspired by The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson and there were one of three variations sent out representing each of the kingdoms. I got the ‘Dalbreck’ lip scrub which was melon flavoured. There was also an item inspired by Throne of Glass in the form of ‘Wryd Mark’ page flags designed by Fictiontea Designs. This is an item I have thought about picking up for a while to help with my book reviews so they may come in handy.
And now it is time for this month’s book which was Onyx and Ivory by Mindee Arnett. This sounds like a really interesting read and it has some beautiful cover art! The edition included in Fairy Loot also had exclusive sprayed edges which made the book extra special. The cover art was also featured on the signed bookplate, and there was a sticker and author letter. And there was also the regular ‘Fairy Scoop’ leaflet, artwork bookmark, and reading buddy card along with a couple of promotional items.
This was another great box with the book sleeve being my favourite item alongside the book. The theme for June is ‘Rebels In Ballgowns’ which is an interesting theme.
