Gifts for Bookworms

As anyone who follows my blog or social media accounts may know, I love bookish gifts! And over the last year in particular I have collected more book themed gifts then ever and discovered some wonderful companies who create beautiful things that celebrate our much loved books. So with this in mind and with the festive season fast approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourites which would make great gifts for fellow bookworms!

Book Sleeves by Book Buddle

It has been many months now since I purchased my first Book Buddle and since then I have bought three more which I alternate between. These padded sleeves to keep your books safe on your travels are beautifully made and are available in different sizes to accommodate paperbacks and hardbacks as well as your tablet or kindle. I have two small and two large and I use them every day when I take books with me to and from work and they have also kept my books in pristine condition in my suitcase when I go on holiday. They are also available in a wide range of fabrics to suit different tastes and Jules who makes the buddles is very helpful and even helped pick out some owl fabric for me!

Woodmarks by Ink and Wonder Designs

As an owner of many books I have also accumulated many bookmarks over the years! But my favourites at the moment are woodmarks made by Ink and Wonder Designs. I received my first woodmark in my Fairy Loot box in May and since then I have ordered eleven more! Beautifully designed and handcrafted there are lots of gorgeous designs to collect featuring quotes or illustrations of characters from much loved books. The company are based in Australia but their woodmarks have always arrived fairly quickly and in good condition and are reasonably priced at 9 AUD (around £5) with only 3 AUD shipping (around £1.75) These woodmarks are of a good quality and feel really special so would make great gifts!

Clothing by Literary Emporium

I love the new clothing range by Literary Emporium along with their new gothic literature range. I recently purchased an Anne Bronte quote t-shirt which is a nice quality of fabric and a simple, stylish design. I also recently bought the Jane Eyre pin which features my favourite quote from the book, and I have my eye on the matching t-shirt and sweatshirt! These items were delivered very quickly and were well presented, and are among numerous items of clothing, jewellery, pins and stationary.

Pins by Fable and Black

In recent months I have started to collect more bookish pins and Fable and Black have some beautiful ones! My favourite is this bookshop pin which is a gorgeous design with lovely colours! I was really excited to discover Fable and Black as they are a local company to me selling lots of bookish pins, jewellery, stationary and more! I have a few of these items including multiple pins, necklaces, a coaster and a print!

Gift Box by The Book Matchmaker

I unboxed the Autumn gift box from The Book Matchmaker this year and this would make a great gift with a Winter box available now that will be perfect for the festive season. It includes a surprise book of a genre of your choosing, along with a choice of hot drink and snack in addition to a mug and a bookmark which fits in well with the theme. These items are all of a good quality and are beautifully presented. And if you just wanted a book there are surprise books available that can be purchased separately which include a hot drink.

Book Subscription Boxes

Regular blog readers may know I am partial to a bookish subscription box! There are so many boxes available which you can subscribe to and some which you can purchase individually. For YA books I would recommend Fairy Loot, this box always represents good value for money and is packed with bookish goodies that are more often than not exclusive to the box. If supporting indie publishers is of interest then you could give Ninja Book Box a try. This is a quarterly box featuring an independently published book and items from small businesses. I am going to be unboxing two new subscription boxes this month – The Crime and Mystery box from My Chronicle Book Box, a new quarterly box, and the Wildest Dreams Book Box, a new monthly YA box.
